My legal name is Jenna Fischels. I grew up in Independence, Iowa. I now live in Iowa City with my beautiful kitty Loki. I've been writing stories since I was five years old. I won my first writing competition in kindergarten, with a poem about cats! My first book won an international contest -- The Battle-Ready Blobfish: The Stupidest Story That Ever Stupided. While that book is a comedy, I also write science fiction, fantasy, murder mysteries, suspense, and historical fiction. There is something for everyone in my library! I also do my best to include main characters of all races, sexes, and backgrounds.
